Major Robolinux Series 10 Bug Fixes
& Upgrades for all 4 Versions
All 4 Robolinux 10 Series Cinnamon, Mate 3D, Xfce & LXDE 64 bit Raptor versions have been upgraded with hundreds of bug & security fixes.
Here are the highlights:
1. There was an Auto Upgrader option in our Mate 3D 10.1 version that was broken. Existing 10.1 Users can download a fix from the Series 10 Mate 3D FAQ webpage under Trouble Shooting so they can upgrade from 10.1 to 10.2 in just one click.
2. The Banshee Music player had so many bugs in it we had to replace it with Audacious in our Mate 3D & Xfce versions. Since Audacious refused to work in our Cinnamon version we replaced Banshee with Musique. The LXDE version already had Audacious in v10.2
3. Due to massive upstream Gnome upgrade updates increasing the size of our Cinnamon download iso by over 500 MB we had to remove Libre Office from our Cinnamon 10.2 version. You can effortlessly install Libre Office version 6 from both the Software or Synaptic applications from the Main menu under Administration.
4. Since so many Users wanted the latest version of Libre Office 6 you can now install it in all 4 Series 10.2 versions with just one click using our Installers Menu option. It also installs the Libre Office repository so you will always have the newest version all the time whenever there is an update to Libre Office.
5. The VirtualBox repository was totally broken so we had to fix it in all four 10.2 versions. The Robolinux Auto upgrade option in our main menu also fixes it.
6. Grub & Plymouth had to be fixed in all 4 Robolinux 10.2 versions.
7. Hundreds of upstream security and application bug fixes and updates are in all 4 Robolinux 10.2 versions.
8. Since our LXDE version 10.2 had no files search application in it we added catfish to it.
Again all current Robolinux 10.2 users can upgrade to version 10.2 in just one click by using the built in Robolinux Auto Upgrade button in the main menu.
It is absolutely critical to first use the Upstream Software Updater from the main menu before you run the Robolinux Auto Upgrade option as the Ubuntu 18.04 Software Updater will prevent the dpkg system from working while you are running the Robolinux Upgrade option.

Invisible Internet Project (I2P)
i2p is an implementation of an anonymous, de-centralized network. Over a single layer, applications transmit anonymous and secure messages to one other. All communications are encrypted end-to-end, and 4 layers of encryption surround the sending and receiving of messages. Every client application uses its own i2p router to establish a number of in-bound and out-bound tunnels to other applications, and these peers pass messages to/from the client. Each peer on the i2p network selects the length of his tunnels; The longer the tunnel, the greater the anonymity but the higher the latency and the lower the throughput. Hence, there is a trade-off between anonymity and high(er) latency AND low(er) throughput. Initially - when a client attempts to contact its peers, a distributed hash table (DHT) containing the details of connected peers, is queried, but no further queries are required to establish subsequent connections. So, the i2p queries - for bringing about connections - differ both from Tor's hidden services and clearnet DNS.
i2p is rumored to have a higher network latency but to be more capable of preserving a user's anonymity than Tor's hidden services. However - regarding the latter point, there is fierce dispute. On i2p, peers communicate over many protocols, including http, IRC and BitTorrent. Finally, i2p domains are assigned the pseudo (non-routable) Top Level Domain (TLD) of .i2p, and to connect to them, a proxy is required.
Tor Anonymous Browser
Tor protects privacy in communications via a distributed network of relays run by volunteers all around the world: it prevents anybody watching Internet connections from learning what sites you visit, and it prevents the visited sites from learning your physical location. Tor works with web browsers, instant messaging programs, remote login clients, and many other TCP-based applications.
Tor Anonymous Chat
TorChat is a peer to peer instant messenger with a completely decentralized design, built on top of Tor's location hidden services, providing strong anonymity while being very easy to use Top most relevant feature TorChat claims, above from text messaging and file sending, rest on the difficulty someone would experiment trying to find out where you are communicating from In the condition someone might be observing you and sniff your internet traffic connection, the person will have a high degree of difficulty in finding out: - Where your contacts are located - To whom you are sending or receiving from - What you send or receive, as everything is end-to-end encrypted BleachBit
BleachBit deletes unnecessary files to free valuable disk space, maintain privacy, and remove junk. It removes cache, Internet history, temporary files, cookies, and broken shortcuts. It handles cleaning of Adobe Reader, Bash, Beagle, Epiphany, Firefox, Flash, GIMP, Google Earth, Java, KDE, OpenOffice.org, Opera, RealPlayer, rpmbuild, Second Life Viewer, VIM, XChat, and more. Beyond simply erasing junk files, BleachBit wipes free disk space (to hide previously deleted files for privacy and to improve compression of images), vacuums Firefox databases (to improve performance without deleting data), and securely shreds arbitrary files.
Clam AntiVirus is an anti-virus toolkit for Unix. The main purpose of this software is the integration with mail servers (attachment scanning). The package provides a flexible and scalable multi-threaded daemon in the clamav-daemon package, a command-line scanner in the clamav package, and a tool for automatic updating via the Internet in the clamav-freshclam package. The programs are based on libclamav6, which can be used by other software.
This package contains the command line interface. Features: - built-in support for various archive formats, including Zip, Tar, Gzip, Bzip2, OLE2, Cabinet, CHM, BinHex, SIS and others; - built-in support for almost all mail file formats; - built-in support for ELF executables and Portable Executable files compressed with UPX, FSG, Petite, NsPack, wwpack32, MEW, Upack and obfuscated with SUE, Y0da Cryptor and others; - built-in support for popular document formats including Microsoft Office and Mac Office files, HTML, RTF and PDF.
For scanning to work, a virus database is needed. There are two options for getting it:
- clamav-freshclam: updates the database from Internet. This is recommended with Internet access. - clamav-data: for users without Internet access. The package is not updated once installed. The clamav-getfiles package allows creating custom packages from an Internet-connected computer.
Steam (http://www.steampowered.com) is a software content delivery system developed by Valve software (http://www.valvesoftware.com). There is some free software available, but for the most part the content delivered is non-free. This package comes with a fairly substantial non-free license agreement that must be accepted before installing the software. If you have any opposition to non-free work, please select "I DECLINE" during the package installation dialogs. There are also additional agreements in various parts of the application that differ from the original agreement. In other words, pay attention and read carefully if you're worried about your rights.
A powerful network packet analyzer & sniffer tool that captures and analyzes packets off the wire. Wireshark can decode many protocols.
Google Earth Pro:
Google Earth Pro is a computer program that renders a 3D representation of Earth based on satellite imagery. The program maps the Earth by superimposing satellite images, aerial photography, and GIS data onto a 3D globe, allowing users to see cities and landscapes from various angles. Users can explore the globe by entering addresses and coordinates, or by using a keyboard or mouse. The program can also be downloaded on a smartphone or tablet, using a touch screen or stylus to navigate. Users may use the program to add their own data using Keyhole Markup Language and upload them through various sources, such as forums or blogs.
Opera is a web browser for Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems developed by Opera Software. It uses the Blink layout engine. An earlier version using the Presto layout engine is still available, and runs on FreeBSD systems.
Opera was conceived at Telenor as a research project in 1994 and was bought by Opera Software in 1995. Initially a commercial web browser, Opera later became freeware in 2005. Until 2013, Opera used the Presto layout engine. These versions of Opera have received 13 different awards. In 2013, however, Opera changed its layout engine to Blink, the layout engine of its competitor Chromium.
Google Chrome is a freeware web browser developed by Google. It was first released in September 2008, for Microsoft Windows, and was later ported to Linux, macOS, iOS and Android. Google Chrome is also the main component of Chrome OS, where it serves as a platform for running web apps.
Google releases the majority of Chrome's source code as the Chromium open-source project. One component that is not open-source is the built-in Adobe Flash Player (that Chrome has disabled by default since September 2016). Chrome used the WebKit layout engine until version 27. As of version 28, all Chrome ports except the iOS port use Blink, a fork of the WebKit engine.
